“ Charlie, the manager of the Marshall Street restaurant founded by his father, recently closed this campus favorite after a run of about 50 years. He reopened in a small space on West Genesee Street opposite Fairmount Fair. The falafels, chawarma, and chicken pesto pizza are terrific and the baba ganoush is outstanding. In the past, I preferred the Fayetteville King David's restaurant, run by the other brother, Nadir, because of the ease of parking, but now they are equal in convenience, quality, and service. ”
“ Writing this review while I am eating lol because it is that good! Everything is fresh and packed with flavor, the front of house staff was super nice and polite. I am vegan so the few places I eat out at make all the difference! I ordered a BYOB and I have to say the hummus and falafel are 100/10! Portions are also very large as well so I do believe everything is priced great. So happy I came to try King David’s and I absolutely can’t wait to come back! ”
“ WOW. Food was authentic, incredibly good, and very fairly priced. Service was kind and friendly. They even offered a generous military discount which is never expected but always appreciated. Our Server made sure we had what we needed but didn’t pester us, and the manager even stopped by to see how our food was. Very mom & pop family owned feel. Everyone seemed happy to be working there. My wife has Celiac and a dairy allergy. While they don’t currently have a separate GF menu (it’s in the works), they were able to give recommendations and tailor her order. They DO have a dedicated fryer so GF customers can enjoy fries and falafel as well. The Chwarma and Sweet Potato fries were killer. Hummus and falafel were also out of this world. The baklava was homemade and top notch. A I will be a repeat customer. ”
“ Wow! I was blown away by King David's in Fairmount. Blaine is wonderful! I placed a large catering order with her and I felt really confident they would do a good job. Blaine was very professional and recommended quantities for the amount of people coming. I called earlier in the week to ask some questions and then on the pick up day to confirm. What stood out to me the most is how polite every one there is and it added to my trust about the food order. On to the food...people went bonkers over it. Even the next day people were texting how good the food was. I ordered a lot so people were taking the leftovers and loving it. Even the salad was gone! The food was so delicious. I was so impressed by the quality,taste, and presentation. It was hectic so I did not get a picture of the spread.everything was ready on time, packaged well, labeled, and organized. Thank you to the men who carefully loaded my car. I will definitely be ordering and recommending them again and I think they have a lot of new customers too. You won’t find another mediterranean restaurant in the Syracuse or surrounding area that has the most authentic taste of their culture.
